Two plays in one week? Impossible!

I am pleased to announce that yes, I did see two plays this week. One at the Globe Theater, the other at the Regent's Park Open Air Theater. It was a lot of fun, and relatively inexpensive. It cost 15 quid (that's a fancy word for pounds) for both tickets. Even in dollars, that's inexpensive.

The Midsummer Night's Dream tickets were standing at the front. My feet wanted to be amputated by intermission, but it was still a great experience- in the Globe, as well!. A bonus for being so close is that we got to see the actors faces better than in pictures! They also tended to interact with the peasants in the front- us and the other poor students. The states have dollar theaters, here we have Shakespeare for 5 quid. Glad I'm poor here.

The actors were very talented, and there were plenty of humorous twists. The picture with the white outfitted guys is the group of actors dancing at the end of their play to the Duke and Duchess. Yes, those tights were incredibly tight and slightly see through on the buttocks.

I never knew anything about Gigi until Thursday night. This is the full synopsis. It's based off of a book, made into a movie and a musical. Fantastic. I liked it a lot. It might be my favorite Victorian Era, Parisian musical ever. The original Gigi was Audrey Hepburn. She was perfect for the part, so no wonder I liked it so much! It was a chick flick that introduced morals to an amoral France.

Gigi was adorable and I couldn't help but fall in love with Gaston (her love). The age was gross, but I'm going to change it from 16 something and 30 something to 18 and 25-27. That is more allowable, but still kinda gross. Oh well, Gaston needed a young, free spirit to make him happy, and that's what Gigi is!

Oh yes, it's quite possible to see two plays in one week.
