This painting is "Venus and Mars" by the Italian artist Botticelli, most famous for his birth of Venus. I had the opportunity to see this painting in the London National Gallery. Bet your all green with envy.The story behind this picture is quite interesting, and it ends with love conquering war. (Perhaps my favorite theme.)
